How Bees Help Gardens

Bees are busy insects that help many plants grow. When a bee lands on a flower, yellow pollen sticks to its fuzzy body. Then the bee flies to another flower. Some of the pollen rubs off on the new flower. This helps the plant make seeds, fruits, and vegetables.

Bees also collect nectar from flowers. They carry the nectar back to the hive to help make honey. In spring and summer, you can often see bees moving from flower to flower in gardens, parks, and farms. Even though bees are small, they do a very important job for people and plants.
